DIMAPUR, DEC 28 (MExN): Affirming what Oscar Fernandes, Union Minister of State had said yesterday, the NSCN (IM) today said in a release that it categorically denies the appointment of any formal or official mediators between the Centre and the NSCN. The purported statement made earlier by Kraibo Chawang, Deputy Kilonser in the NSCN (IM) ranks, has been termed as his personal opinion. “In view of the confusion created in the minds of the Naga people in general and of those officials involved in the ongoing Indo-Naga peace process in particular, through the purported statement of Dy Kilonser Mr. K Chawang, published in some local dailies on the issue of third party intervention, it is to clarify that, undoubtedly there has been considerable contributions from conflict resolution experts from some quarters,” a release issued by Rh Raising, Kilo Kilonser of the NSCN clarified.
