Aggrieved teachers and non teaching staffs demand justice

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 15 (MExN): The teachers and non-teaching staffs under DIS Longleng who were not included in the genuine list of the department demanded justice from the concerned authority and said that they will resort to their own course of action.

A press release issued by Y Buhu and HC Menhahu on behalf of ‘left out Teachers and Non-Teaching Staffs under DIS Longleng’, said that the teachers and non-teaching staff, in complaint, to the department’s letter posted on February 27 2007, have submitted all the related documents for verification. However, the release lamented that the concerned authority has turned a deaf ear to their grievances for a long time.

“But to our dismay, your authority is still keeping a deaf ear to our long cry, to the extend of 15 months altogether without salary, don’t you (concerned authority) ever conceive that the teaching task is the most strenuous, stressful and lose of energy. In addition the empty stomach is starving to better the school performances which record is the self explanatory,” stated the release. In this regard, the release demanded justice from the concerned department on or before August 15 and added that they would resort to their own course of action if the authority fails to deliver justice.

“Therefore, your competent authority is requested to see into the matter seriously and justice be delivered immediately please,” the release said.

The release further informed those appointees under DIS Longleng whose name were not included in the genuine list to positively reach Longleng on August 13 to have discussion regarding the ‘prevailing situation faced by the left out Teachers and Non-Teaching Staffs”.
