Kohima, June 20 (MExN): A two day training on ‘office management & accounts matters’ was organised in the Directorate of Agriculture, Kohima for the staff of all the agriculture establishments in the state.

The training was held on June 18 and 19 in two batches with the aim to enhance and update the knowledge of the staff on accounts, service matters, PIMS, Nagaland Government Service Conduct Rules, office procedures on filing system, noting and drafting and maintenance of service book.

Addressing the inaugural programme, M Ben Yanthan, Director of Agriculture stated that that such training is needed for the staff to update their skills in delivering their duties and responsibilities.

C Peter Yanthan, Additional Director of Agriculture said that such kind of training was very important for both technical and non-technical staff. He urged the trainees to refresh their knowledge and execute their duties with integrity.

The resource persons of the training were officials from Personnel & Administrative Reforms and Principal Accountant General. Earlier, Sanuzo Nienu, Joint Director of Agriculture delivered welcome address while Dr Cressida Jamir, Deputy Director, Agriculture chaired the inaugural programme.
