Dimapur, October 30 (MExN): The Agriculture Officer’s Association Nagaland (AOAN) organised its First General session on October 22 at Agri-Expo, Angh House, Chumoukedima.
In his Presidential address, Mhao Lotha, warmly welcomed all the officers to the session and expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the presidential searching Committee for entrusting him to be the first president of AOAN.
Director of Agriculture M Ben Yanthan in his speech said that the primary objective of the association in protecting the interest and welfare of the members while not countering any authority or agency and to work responsibly with coordination and transparency.
He appealed the officer bearers to seriously look into the Nagaland Agriculture Service Rules 2016 and review it. This is an essential and need of the hour, he said.
He further stressed on the importance of the association to strive to achieve goal with contribution of each member and the spirit of team work as well as not allowing any external forces to harm or interfere the rights of the members.
Advisory Speech was also delivered by BN Phom, Advisor (Additional Director) and Yongchang Phom, Jt.Director.
Earlier, Yanthan presented a small token in the form of traditional piece of attire to the first Office bearers of AOAN.
