Organisation appeals not to ply heavy vehicles on the stretch till last part of October 2017
Peren, July 3 (MExN): The public of Ahthibung and Kebai Khelma under Peren district conducted a joint social work on the road between Bongkolong and Gopibung, a 10 km distance, from June 26 to July 1.
The particular road is the worst stretch of road in the district, according to a press release from Lamsei Singson, president and Rangnim, vice president of Zeliang Kuki Public Organisation, Ahthibung & Kebai Khelma circle.
The sixteen villages contributed materially, financially and physically to repair the pathetic condition of the road, it added.
Stating that the work was done satisfactorily for plying of small passenger and light commercial vehicles, the Zeliang Kuki Public Organisation under Ahthibung & Kebai Khelma Circle has appealed to all concerned not to ply heavy vehicles on the said road till last part of October 2017.
