AH&VS dept cautions against  ‘unauthorized press release’

Kohima, October 22 (MExN): Department of AH & Veterinary Services (AH&VS), Nagaland on Friday cautioned the officers and establishments from issuing any unauthorized press release. 

The department through a report from the IPR clarified that apropos to the article, ‘AH&VS Department cautions public against quacks’ published in local dailies on October 16, the AH&VS department, Nagaland has clarified to all concerned that the news item published was not an official press release of the Department but only a personal view of the writer.

Further, the Department would like to state that Veterinary Doctors and the Veterinary Field Assistants (VFAs) works in coordination as one machinery of the veterinary profession as per the laid down provisions under IVC Act 1984, under Clause (b) of Section 30 which was published in Nagaland Gazette, 30th September 2009, Part-1.

“In this regard, the Department appreciates the wisdom of the office bearers of the Nagaland Veterinary Field Assistants Association (NVFAA) for amicably resolving the confused matter with the Department. Hence, Status Quo be maintained in the functioning of various departmental activities,” it stated.
