The AICC Wokha District Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan (Organisation Creation Campaign) was launched on February 23 in Wokha District, marking a significant step towards strengthening the party’s grassroots structure.
The programme was led by Indravijaysinh Gohil, AICC Observer, accompanied by Vikram, General Secretary of NSUI (Gujarat State), Capt. GK Zhimomi, NPCC Vice President and Nagaland SSA Observer, and Dr Temsu Wati, NPCC Observer.
The visit aimed to review and oversee the amendments and resolutions adopted during the All India Congress Committee Convention held in Ahmedabad in 2025. During the interaction session, Gohil held extensive discussions with PCC Members, ACCC representatives, Youth Congress (YCC) members, NSUI team, Mahila Congress members, Seva Dal members, senior party leaders, and block-level workers along with incumbent WDCC President Yisanbemo Kikon.
Assuring his full support, Gohil emphasised the importance of collective effort in preparation for the forthcoming 2028 State Assembly Elections. He also took note of the long-vacant Congress seat in Wokha District, stating that necessary strategies to reclaim the constituency have been well documented and that all required organisational support will be extended.
The programme witnessed participation of key WDCC leaders, including Chenithung Humtsoe, PAC Member and PCC member of 40 Bhandari A/C; Yanchamo Ovung, NPCC Secretary and PCC member of 39 Sanis A/C; and Woben Tungoe, PCC member of 38 Wokha A/C.
