Kohima, August 25 (MExN): The ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA) Don Bosco Job Placement Network, Dimapur, in collaboration with Don Bosco College, Kohima, successfully hosted a job fair on 24 August 2024. The event, held at Don Bosco College, Kohima, was organized in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Employment's National Career Service Centre for Differently Abled, Dimapur, ST/SC Kohima, and Fernandus and Associate, Goa.
The job fair aimed to provide employment opportunities for young people in and around Kohima, while raising awareness about local and state job prospects. It offered participants one-on-one interview experiences and insight into available job opportunities.

The inaugural session began with an invocation by Rev. Fr. Christudoss Antony SDB, Director of the Computer Centre and Campus Administration at Don Bosco College, Kohima. This was followed by a welcome address from Rev. Dr. Fr. Tious Varghese SDB, Principal of Don Bosco College, who emphasized the significance of the job fair and encouraged attendees to seize the opportunities presented.

Representatives from various companies, including Toka MPCS, SBI Life, SeyieAuto, Frenandus and Associates (Goa), Quesscorp India, WICE Chennai, Chaiwaale Chennai, and several schools from Assam, provided brief introductions to their organizations.
Savio Visa, Additional Director of Employment, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, delivered the keynote address, expressing his pleasure at the turnout and encouraging the youth to pursue employment opportunities.
Sebi Chacko, Coordinator of the Don Bosco Job Placement Network, Dimapur, concluded the event with a vote of thanks. He expressed gratitude to all organizers, supporters, collaborators, special guests, volunteers, and partners, highlighting the significant contributions of the AIDA organization and the AIDA-Don Bosco Job Placement Network to the success of the event.
The job fair saw over 500 candidates in attendance, with more than 1,000 job vacancies available. Six companies participated in person, while two others joined online. The event provided a valuable platform for local youth to connect with potential employers, underscoring AIDA Don Bosco Job Placement Network’s commitment to facilitating career development in the region.
