Mon, November 8 (MExN): The Social Welfare Department organized a distribution camp for aids and appliances for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) in Mon District, held at the Mon Town Council Hall. Advisor for Social Welfare, Wangpang Konyak, was present at the event, where he commended the collaborative efforts of the Deputy Commissioner and the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) in hosting the program.

In his address, Konyak expressed appreciation for the initiative, emphasizing that the aids and appliances would enhance the quality of life for PwD beneficiaries. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to inclusive development, noting that accessibility features like lifts and ramps are now standard in office buildings to ensure PwDs are not left behind.
