Nagaland Prisons and Printing & Stationery Advisor, Er Kropol Vitsu inaugurated the office of All India Freedom Fighters Successor’s Organisation (AIFFSO) Nagaland at Industry Centre Kohima on July 30.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, Er Vitsu lauded the legacy of India’s freedom fighters and emphasized the importance of preserving their sacrifices through the involvement of their descendants.
He also shared glimpses of India’s freedom movement, highlighting the courage, sacrifice, and struggles of countless freedom fighters who laid the foundation for the country’s independence.
He reminded the gathering that the spirit of their struggle must continue to inspire and guide future generations.
He said the new office in Kohima would serve as a platform to honour their contributions and promote patriotic values among the younger generation.
Informing that AIFFSO Nagaland presently has 73 registered members, he said, “We must remember the courage and sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and let it be a source of our patriotism and determination while also giving them the due respect and to their family members.”
Er Vitsu also expressed gratitude to the Government of Nagaland for allotting rooms for the organisation in the old Industries office building, enabling the smooth functioning of the AIFFSO in the state.
Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) Councilor, Ahelie Theyo along with Panchayat leaders were also present on the occasion.
The programme chaired by AIFFSO Nagaland General Secretary Mhao Kikon commenced with a prayer by Working President Kikrovi Sakhrie while President Zeliezhu Angami delivered the welcome address, Vice President Pusazo Sale proposed vote of thanks.
