Prasar Bharati India’s Public Service Broadcaster All India Radio, Mokokchung organised an Invited Audience concert at Longkumer Kilem on November 30 under the theme ‘Promoting Ao cultural heritage’.
The concert was organised with an aim to promote ao cultural cultural heritage mainly focussing on cultural songs. Mekala Chaitangya Prasad, IAS, SDO (C) and I. Imkong Jamir, Vice-president, Ao Senden spoke on the occasion where they stressed on preserving our culture and traditions and congratulated AIR Mokokchung for their effort and encouraged to do more in the future.
Joyti Ahlawat also spoke on the occasion where she commended the AIR Mokokchung for their effort in preserving and promoting Ao cultural heritage and how AIR Mokokchung is doing better than any other radio station in the state.
Ao folk songs, choral, western music and hindi songs were performed by various Ao artists at the concert.
