As more entrepreneurs are entering the food scene in Dimapur, this place is the most promising so far! Launched on December 24, ‘AK food & café’ is a fine dining restaurant with a cozy café attached to it. There is also a separate VIP Hall for Birthday parties and special caterings.
As you take the flight of stairs to reach the restaurant, you’re met with warm and welcoming hues of brown. The restaurant décor is simple and uncluttered. The menu offers a varied choice of Continental, Chinese, and Indian food. The staple fried rice, chowmein and momos are also included in the menu, but what is a welcome sight are choices for Pork Steak, Pork Belly, Tenderloin Beef Steak, Roulade Chicken, Stuffed Chicken Breast, Lamb Chops, Wine Glazed Chicken and many more. The most tempting at AK’s are also the Pizza and Burger section, which is surely going to have many takers.
Customers seemed to love the café which is attached but set aside from the main restaurant. The café serves excellent Espresso, Black Coffee, Cappuccino and Latte Macchiato. All this, brewed by the owner Kalden Gurung himself.
A first time entrepreneur, Kalden stated that owning a restaurant had always been a dream of his since he was a young kid. However, he confesses that he is just realizing that it is an extremely tough job. “My passion is to serve good food and make people happy,” he said.
AK food & café is a must visit and has a lot to offer definitely! Just the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee with a burger or pizza during the day time or feast on Pork Steak or Wine Glazed Chicken for a scrumptious dinner.
Open from 12 noon to 10:30 PM, the place is closed on Mondays. It is located opposite SBI Bank, Supermarket, Dimapur.
