KOHIMA, FEBRUARY 27 (MExN): A two-day programme & commercial meeting of all Akashvani Stations in the Northeast Zone commenced today at Hotel Japfü, Kohima, hosted by Akashvani Kohima.
The meeting brings together Assistant Director (Programmes) (ADPs) and Programme Executives (PEX) from across the region to discuss strategies for content enhancement and commercial development.
The inaugural session was chaired by Ashish Bhatnagar, Additional Director General (Administration & Broadcast Operation, Content-Operations), Akashvani, Northeast Zone, Guwahati.
In his address, Bhatnagar emphasized the importance of innovative programming, audience engagement, and strengthening regional content to enhance the impact of public broadcasting in the Northeast. Discussions also covered operational challenges and collaborative approaches to improve programme quality across stations.
The second day of the meeting, scheduled for February 28, will feature an interaction with Dr Pragya Paliwal Gaur, Director General, Akashvani, New Delhi. The session will focus on strategies for commercial development, including revenue generation, sponsorship opportunities, and expanding Akashvani’s reach through modern broadcasting techniques.
The programme & commercial meeting serves as a crucial platform for Akashvani stations in the Northeast to exchange ideas, share best practices, and align with national broadcasting goals.
