AKK calls off poll boycott

DIMAPUR, APRIL 8 (MExN): The Aghunaqa Kukami Kuqhakulu (AKK) has called off its proposed boycott of the Nagaland Lok Sabha polls on April 9. A press note from the AKK informed electorates of the area to exercise their franchise on polling day. It informed that the decision to withdraw the boycott was arrived at a consultative meeting of the AKK on April 8, following assurances by the Nagaland Home Minister to take up its grievances at the appropriate level. The AKK has been demanding that the Election Commission of India to create separate polling stations for Aghunaqa Area under 4th Ghaspani-I Assembly Constituency.
