MOKOKCHUNG, MAY 17 (MExN): The Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has announced that renewal and registration of Inner Line Permit (ILP) and AKM Census Cards for non-locals residing in Mokokchung district will be carried out from May 20 to 23.
According to a release issued by AKM, the process will be conducted at the AKM Conference Hall from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on the scheduled dates.
The student body has appealed to all Ward Chairmen, Village Councils, employers and concerned guarantors to ensure that non-locals under their respective jurisdictions complete the registration process within the stipulated time.
Citing concerns over the infiltration of illegal immigrants, the AKM said such developments pose a serious threat to the indigenous population and the cultural identity of the Naga people. It urged for continued cooperation from the administration and support from the citizens of Mokokchung district.
The following documents are required for registration- Inner Line Permit (ILP), AKM Census Card, Guarantor details, No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Ward or Village Council Chairman with the name of the house owner, house number, name of tenant, and the seal and signature of the competent authority.
