Kohima, November 14 (MExN): The Association of Kohima Municipal Wards Council (AKMWC) on November 14 has called for the revival of the erection of Christmas Star from December 1 to January 1.
In an update received here, it stated that the dazzling modern decorations have taken center stage in recent years while the glorious Star, the very heart of our Christmas testimony, was dimming from our skyline and our collective memory.
It urged the colony councils, churches and authorizes to put up Christmas Stars in their homes this Christmas season, while encouraging the colony youth organisations to craft adequate quality stars and making them available at affordable rates, and also provide assistance to the needy.
It also called upon the cheerful donors and well-wishers to purchase the stars in bulk to gift them to families who could not afford to buy.
It appealed to the entire citizen to speak up, act and help revive the beautiful Christmas tradition.
