Akumenla L Imchen receives her medal and citation after winning gold in the 19th All India Independence Cup Karate Championship 2025, held from August 7 to 10 at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi.
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 10 (MExN): Akumenla L Imchen, a Lance Naik with the 15th IR Mahila Battalion and a karateka of the All Nagaland Karate-Do Association (ANKA), clinched a gold medal in the +68 kg weight, Individual Senior Female category at the 19th All India Independence Cup Karate Championship 2025.
The championship was held from August 7 to 10 at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi, inofmed a press release from the ANKA.
Organised by Seiko Kai Karate International–India and Bharat Karate Academy, the event was approved by the Karate India Organisation (KIO) and recognised by the World Karate Federation (WKF), Asian Karate Federation, and other international bodies, it added.
