ALC & DEE office complex inaugurated in Dimapur

Dimapur, June 20 (MExN): Advisor for Labour & Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and CAWD, Kazheto Kinimi inaugurated the Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC) and District Employment Exchange (DEE) office complex at Zion Hospital Junction, Purana Bazaar, Dimapur on June 20.

According to DIPR report, speaking at the inaugural programme, Advisor termed the building as much needed infrastructure which is not only an asset to the department but also a platform to serve the people. He said that with the increase of industrial activities and the news for human empowerment increases, people are now beginning to realize the importance of the department, and having the necessary infrastructure is a small step forward to face the challenges. He therefore urged them to use and care for it as their own property without solely depending on government for maintenance.

Kinimi was optimistic that the department will make use of the new complex in renewed spirit and motivation to serve the people.

Commissioner &Secretary, L&E, SD&E, Anenla T Sato, IAS, also urged the department officials to be thorough with all the Labour Acts and Laws and to make sure that programmes and schemes reach the targeted section of people and the right direction be given to the educated youths.

Joint Director, Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Chiten Yaden while giving the concluding remarks added that the Ministry of Skill Development have come up with many skill development avenues which started in the state since last year. He said that there are around 7 skill training centres in Dimapur which will gradually expand in all the districts and 20 thousand youth are expected to be trained by next year. 

The programme was chaired by ALC Dimapur, Temwang Konyak and dedicatory prayer was offered by Nitoshe Zhimo, East Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church. The building was constructed with a cost of 5 crore which will house the Office of Assistant Labour Commissioner, Employment Exchange, Labour Court and Labour Welfare Centre.
