ABAM Social Concern Ministry organised a Alcoholics Anonymous Motivational program for Zone 1-7 at Impur on May 10.
IMPUR, MAY 12 (MExN): The Ao Baptist Church Association (ABAM) Social Concern Ministry organised the Alcoholics Anonymous Motivational program for Zone 1-7 at Impur on May 10.
In his exhortation, Rev Dr Mar Pongener, Executive Secretary, ABAM based on Psalms 3:5, said “despite our rebellious act against God, He always shows mercy by allowing us to breathe afresh, and our gathering is evidence of his mercy. So, in return let everyone aim to save someone's life and make a difference in our society from here on.”
Arenla Longkumer, Secretary, ABAM WM in her sharing called to “consider ourselves as someone sent by God to save others. We may not be complete in many ways, but believing that God uses even the weakest one, let us give our best to make a difference in someone's life.”
During the discussion hour, Kilang Imsong, Director, Life Anew Foundation, Unger led the counselors' group addressing the dynamics of addiction to handle the clients carefully. Limasangwa, Coordinator, Media & Social Concern, ABAM, led the AA group and addressed the importance of the past for a positive vision.
Altogether 348 people comprised of counselors and AAs from 26 churches attended the programme.
