Mokokchung, April 18 (DIPR): The Executive General Meeting of All ward Mokokchung was held on April 16 at Opangkong Salang, Mokokchung, with Developmental Commissioner, Nagaland, Alemtemshi as the main speaker.
Alemtemshi lauded the all ward union, Mokokchung for their dedicated efforts and contribution in maintaining a peaceful atmosphere in the town. Speaking about development, the Development Commissioner said, for any town to develop we need to have good educational institutions, Hospitals and Markets. Saying that it is high time for the people of Mokokchung to ponder upon how Mokokchung town should be developed. Alemtemshi also mentioned that leaving aside the policy of 33% reservation for women, we need to have an elected Municipal Council in Mokokchung Town so as to develop the town as we desire.
Other speakers in the meeting were Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Lithrongla G. Chishi, Ao Senden President Lindenokdan and Mokokchung Municipal Council Coordinator N. Bendang. The meeting was attended by members from all the 18 wards in Mokokchung.
