
Dimapur, May 4 (MExN): With the ever increasing need for strengthening and streaming the Forest Services and to bring a uniform system of Forest Administration throughout the country, the All India Forest Officer Federation (AIFOF) is spearheading the efforts to bring various welfare measures for all forest executive staffs of the country. A two-member delegation of All India Forest Officer Federation (AIFOF) led by the General Secretary Kamal Singh Yadav and accompanied by North East Zonal Secretary Takeng Samior visited Nagaland State on May 2 and 3. An interaction programme was held in the Conference Hall of Forest Office Complex in Dimapur on May 2 with the Nagaland Forest Executive Staff Association (NFESA).
Jamal Singh Yadav, General Secretary, AIFOF shared in detail about the various agendas being taken up with Government of India for the welfare of Forestry Personnel across the country. Some of the major subjects discussed during the programme were implementations of recommendations of National Forest Commission; framing of uniform recruitment rules and training standards at national level; and establishment of Environment court all over India.
The programme was chaired by Beizo Suokhrie, President NFESA with sharing on activities of NFESA highlights by Vice President Rampaukai. Takeng Samior, NE Zonal Secretary spoke on the occasion about the AIFOF meet held in New Delhi earlier this year. Vote of thanks was delivered by Obed Bohovi Swu, Senior Member, NFESA.
