Dimapur, March 30 (MExN): The All Kachari Public Organisation, Borjan Area Karbi Anglong (Assam) comprising of Boro Kachari, Dimasa Kachari, Mech Kachari, Sonowal Kachari, Lalong Kachari, Rabha Kachari and Tiwa Kachari was formed on March 29 at Mainapuri village, Karbi Anglong, Assam.
“The main objective of forming the Organisation is ‘To preserve its cultural identity and their Fundamental Rights,’” a press release informed on Wednesday.
The Organisation will be led BN Thaosen as President; Anup Mech as Vice-President; DT Thaosen as General Secretary; and Binod Wari as Joint Secretary. Other members include Anita Mech (Finance-cum-Treasurer); Publicity Secretaries Bharat Basumatary and Neranjan Mech; Statistics Secretary Pawan Mech; Organising Secretary Surachand Mech; and three Advisors— Budheswar Khaklari, Deben Mech, and Indramohan Khaklari.
