The all new Mahindra XUV 3XO was officially launched at Apex Motor Enterprise (AME), the principal dealership for the company, located at Walford Dimapur on May 15.
State Bank of India, regional manager, Hubert Wungshim was invited as the chief guest for launching the new car.
According to AME CEO, David Murry although Mahindra is considered to be among India’s top selling car brands in the market, the company has been lacking behind in the compact SUV category. As such, the launch of the new XUV 3XO is intended to augment this drawback by providing the best the company has to offer, he said.
With the base model starting at Rs 7.5 lakhs and the top being Rs 15.5 lakhs (ex showroom), it can cater to a wide range of customers who may be first time buyers or those who wish to upgrade to a premium car, he added.
Categorized under the compact SUV class, the new XUV 3XO comes in a variety of single and dual tone colour options such as citrine yellow, nebula blue, deep forest, dune beige, everest white, galaxy grey, stealth black and tango red. It features both diesel and petrol variants and has an mStallion turbo charged engine (multipoint and ntercooled) for petrol and turbo diesel with CRD. The car has a ground clearance of 201 millimeters/ 20 centimeters and has built in auto emergency braking and other smart features.
Company representative, Amit Panday who is the Area Manager for the Northeast region, revealed that Nagaland is among Mahindra’s primary market when it comes to sales. The most popular cars in the State were the Bolero, Scorpio (classic) and Scorpio (New) models.
