Darjeeling, June 20 (UNI): The all-party meet in Darjeeling Hills today decided to carry on the ongoing indefinite strike until the Central para-military forces were withdrawn as shutdown across this Himalayan sites, a tourists destination, entered the ninth day. The second all-party meet, after June 13, convened by the Bimal Gurung-led Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) on statehood demand for Gorkhas in North Bengal, was attended by almost all parties in the Hills, barring West Bengal ruling Trinamool Congress. The meeting lasted for about four hours in the Gymkhana Hall. On June 13 the all-party meeting decided to unite themselves and fight for statehood. GJM spokesman P Arjun told reporters that the meeting also adopted some resolutions, including going ahead with the indefinite strike and constituting a core committee with representatives from different parties to lead the struggle for statehood. "The meeting has concluded that until and unless the Central para-military forces are withdrawn, the shutdown would continue. The decision to withdraw the strike will be taken after withdrawal of the Central security forces, " Mr Arjun iterated
