Aizawl, June 19 (IANS): The central government would take all possible steps to increase production and productivity of agriculture in northeastern region, Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Radha Mohan Singh said here on Sunday after laying the foundation stone of proposed Horticulture College at Thenzawl on the outskirts of the Mizoram capital. He said that the northeastern region comprising eight states have huge potentiality to boost agriculture, horticulture and other crops as its climate and soil are favourable.
