Dimapur, August 5 (MExN): PWD field workers have clarified on the alleged illegal drawal and deduction of 50% DA/ADA arrears as charged against them by the All Nagaland PWD (R&B) & Housing W/C Employees Association (The Morung Express August 3).
“The deduction was initiated from the expenditure of court fees and other related expenditures (by association) incurred in all the four different proceedings during the year 2000-2006. However after careful review and deliberation, the ANPWDFWA has decided to enforce and deduct 25% of DA/ADA arrears from W/C employees. Hence deduction of 50% from DA/ADA arrears may be treated as cancelled” Inakhu Aye, president of the All Nagaland PWD Field-Workers’ Association stated.
The ANPWDFWA has urged the work-charge employees including the ANPWD (R&B) & HWCEA to cooperate in disbursing the DA/ADA arrears from their respective divisions, since the admissibility of the said is the long felt need of the work-charge employees in particular, it stated.
The association also asked the president of the work-charge employees to make way for the smooth disbursement of the arrears to the W/C employees “if he is for the welfare of the W/C employees instead of vitiating the situation and matters where you did not put a mite.”
“It may be also made known to you that the ANPWDFWA has sole right and authority to dispose the matter pertaining to DA/ADA arrears since we are pursuing the case persistently and consistently from initial stage i.e., since 1999 to 2006 to this far and shall continue to protect the common interest and take the initiative affecting its genuine members/employees even in future’ added the release.
