Allocation of food grains under Welfare Institutions, Hostel Scheme

Dimapur, October 31 (MExN): The office of the Food and Civil Supplies, Dimapur is implementing ‘Allocation of food grains under Welfare Institutions and Hostel Scheme.’ This scheme has been launched after the merger of two schemes i.e. Welfare Institutions Scheme and SC/ST/OBC hostel scheme.  

“The allocation of food grains for the residents/students of ST/SC/OBC Hostels is made in order to ensure standards of nutrition in institutions meant for the welfare and development of weaker sections of the society,” stated a press release issued by N Jamonger Ao, Asst Director Food and Civil Supplies, Dimapur.  

Under the scheme, the allocation of food grains is made for the residents/students of the ST/SC/OBC hostels subject to the condition that 2/3rd of the inmates belong to the ST/SC/OBC community. The beneficiaries/hostels are entitled to receive food grains at BPL prices with an upper ceiling of maximum of 15kg per beneficiary per month, he informed.  

In this connection, the eligible welfare institution/hostels under Dimapur District are directed to obtain the release order for lifting the food grains from the office of the undersigned from the 5th of November 2018 onwards during office hours.  

The stakeholders are also directed to bring along with them the following documents as a perquisite to obtain the release Order: aadhaar of the proprietor of the welfare institute/hostel; eligibility certificate/registration of society from the competent authority; and residential/location proof certificate from the competent authority.
