Wokha, February 11 (MExN): The Kyong Hoho has resolved that the ongoing foothill road construction work within Wokha district be kept under temporary suspension. In view of Wokha District Government Registered Class-I Contractor Union’s letter on the issue of work allotment of Foothill construction within Wokha district, the Kyong Hoho has resolved that the ongoing work be kept under temporary suspension till an amicable solution is arrived at, in order to avoid unnecessary confrontation amongst the Union and authorities concerned.
According to a press release issued by Kyong Hoho chairman, Yansathung Jami and its general secretary, Michael Yanthan, the Hoho held an executive council meeting with regard to the letter and deliberated on the issue and observed the union’s claim to be genuine.
In this regard, the Hoho has urged upon the government that the foothill road construction work within Wokha district be allotted to the Lotha Class-I contractors. Further, the Kyong Hoho appealed to the department concerned for finalization of the foothill road alignment where some portions within Wokha district require some rectification.
