Alobo Naga & The Band to rock “Free-Handed concert”

Dimapur, May 23 (MExN): Alobo Naga & The Band is joining hands with Youth Oasis Centre (YOC) for a charity event to be held in Mokokchung and Kohima on June 6th and 8th, and in Mon on July 2nd. 

Organizers of the “Free-Handed concert” at a press conference held today at Hiyo Café, Dimapur briefing media personnel said that the event will be an annual affair, hosted in association with various other organizations. Clement Imsong, MD of Rockstar Entertainment International (REI) extended invitation to interested youth to ‘join hands’ and help the organization even after the event. 

Winners of the Best Indian Act, and nominee of World’s Best Act at MTV EMA 2012, Alobo Naga & The Band expressed gratitude at the privilege and opportunity to perform for the Charity Event. Alobo Naga, the band’s vocalist, expressed delight at the idea of travelling to the three districts of Kohima, Mokokchung and Mon. Particularly referring to Mokokchung, having heard positive reviews from fellow musicians on the Mokokchung crowd, he quipped that the band hasn’t performed there so far and is looking forward to perform. 

The event partner for Kohima is Zero Gravity, Rockstar Entertainment International and Hiyo. The concert will be held at State Academy Hall Kohima and starts from 5:00 pm. The proceeds of the Kohima concert will be in aid of Speak Guru Foundation and the Cadence band will be the opening act. The event partner for Mokokchung is I Love Mokokchung, Rockstar Entertainment International and Hiyo. The concert will be held at Town Hall, Mokokchung with winner of Rock Reign 2012 “Ember Band”  opening the act. The proceeds of the Mokokchung concert will be in aid of Poor Patient Fund IMDH Mokokchung. The event partner for Mon is Wenkhang Foundation Mon. The concert will be held at Town Hall, Mon with “Toxic Peace” at the opening act. The proceeds of the Mon concert will be in aid of Wenkhang Foundation (children with special needs). 

Tickets are priced at Rs 1000 and Rs 200 and will be available at Kohima- Zumvu Printex (High School Branch), Seasons Café (Near Post Office), Hive Café (Jail Colony), Lifepro Café (Mohonkhola), and Mokokchung- Seasons 4, Royal Road, Alongmen Ward Mokokchung.
