Kohima, June 30 (MExN): The Alpine Open Scout and Guide Unit conducted its Annual Summer Camp from June 25 to 29 at the Nagaland State Bharat Scouts and Guides, State Training Centre Nerhema. Altogether 63 Scouts and Guides, Rovers & Rangers from the Unit attended the Camp.
It was conducted under the leadership of Imlisünep, Scout Master of the Unit assisted by Sashikala Jamir, Ranger Leader. Various competitions were organized during the camp which included color party, march past, flag procedure, camp craft, folk song, folk dance, district exhibition etc.
The inaugural Programme was graced by the John Tochimong, State Organizing Commissioner (Scout) NSBSG and Vimezhonu, State Organizing Commissioner (Guide) NSBSG on June 26. Vimezhonu exhorted the Scouts & Guides which was followed by march past by different groups - Mt Japfü group, Mt Tiyi group, Mt Pauna and Mt Saramati.
The organizers acknowledged the State Headquarter Officials, District Organizing Commissioner (Scout) Kohima and others for the support in conducting the camp.
