Kigwema, June 28 (MExN): The seven-day annual summer camp of Alpine Open Scouts and Guides unit concluded at St Edmund’s School Kigwema Kohima. On the closing day, Secretary (Judicial), Department of Justice and Law Nino Iralu who was the special guest, recalled that she was also once a  guide and the scouts and guide movement taught her so many lessons and pushed her to further her career as a lawyer.

 ‘Once a scout always a scout,’ she noted while adding that discipline and lessons they learn should also be reflected in their living. She further asked the gathering to have sense of responsibility as scouts so that people learn good lessons from them.

According to a press release, Sashikala Jamir, Ranger Leader was the master of ceremony for the event while vote of thanks was delivered by Imlisunep Imchen, Administrator of the Alpine Open Scouts and Guides unit. Special songs and dances were presented by different patrols of the camp.

The administrator meanwhile, acknowledged the State Chief Commissioner NSBSG, SOCs, STCs, resource persons, parents of the Alpine Open Scouts and Guides, St Edmund’s School and the Loyola School fraternity, and all the well-wishers for their support and contributions for the successful conclusion of the camp.
