Mokokchung, May 1 (MExN): The Moatsu festive mood in Mokokchung will be amped a notch higher as the Adventure and Motorsports Association of Mokokchung (AMAM) is set to host the 4th Mokokchung AutoX rally at Imkongmeren Sports Complex on May 3 and Moatsu Sprint 2018 at Yimchalu on May 4.
As per a release, more than 50 professional motorists are expected to participate in the two motor racing events. Pro racers from Kolkata, Meghalaya, Assam and Nagaland are scheduled to arrive at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex on May 2 for scrutiny and briefing.
The release said that AMAN will for the first time in Mokokchung introduce “ramp and twin tracks for the AutoX event” while Moatsü Sprint will be run on dirt and gravel (dry/wet) track at the scenic Yimchalu model village.
The competition would be held in three classes - below 1300cc, above 1300cc and SUV category. The total cash prize stands at Rs. 2.35 lakh along with trophy and certificates.
Informing that entry for spectators will be free, AMAM urged motorsports enthusiasts to attend to further enliven the Moatsü mood.
