Mokokchung, April 20 (MexN): The Adventure and Motorsports Association Mokokchung (AMAM) is set to organize the 4th edition of Mokokchung Auto Cross on 3 and 4 May, 2018 respectively.
AMAM officials, in a press conference held today at Metsuben hotel, said that the 4th Mokokchung Auto cross will be held at Imkongmeren Sports Complex on May 3 and the first ever Moatsu Sprint on May 4 at Yimchalu village, some 15 kilometers away from Mokokchung town.
The organizers also stated that they are expecting participants from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and Delhi and also participants from across the state.
Along with AMAM technical team, Rookie Riders group will assist the organizers on technical field during the two day event, they added.
They also said that the competition will be held in three categories namely, below 1300cc, above 1300cc and SUV category. A total cash prize for the winners will be 2.35 lakhs along with trophy and certificates. A special award, over-all best timer, will be given to one rider who finishes with the best time irrespective of the categories.
AMAM officials also added that the Mokokchung Auto X and Moatsu Sprint 2018 was organized during the Moatsu festival of the Ao Nagas as an added attraction and to boost the festive mood. It will also be an attraction for the people coming from outside the state to witness the cultural aspect of the town and also to witness the enthusiasm of the people of Mokokchung in Motorsport events.
