DIMAPUR, JULY 4 (MExN): The All Nagaland Adhoc Teachers’ Group 2015 Batch (ANATG- 2015 Batch) has clarified that the indefinite hunger strike was temporarily suspended on June 30 after appeals made by the All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA), the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) and the Eastern Naga Students’ Federation – (ENSF) with the proposal to file the Interlocutory Application (IA)on behalf of the ANATG-2015 Batch.
The ANATG-2015 Batch also sought to clarify that it was only due to the recruitment policy of the Government of Nagaland that the present aggrieved Grade-III Adhoc Teachers had to occupy the vacant state sanctioned post on Adhoc basis.
Had the Government conducted recruitment test before the appointment , the present aggrieved teachers would had followed the recruitment policy in order to occupy the sanctioned post on regular basis. Besides, the present aggrieved grade-III teachers had to complete a minimum of 3 years of service and appear the suitability test of which all the present 1166 Grade-III Adhoc teachers successfully cleared in addition to the spot verification of documents on May 20, 2017, with all other necessary clearances from the P&AR Department, it maintained.
Subsequently, it stated that the ANATG-2018 Batch on June 30, 2018 by considering the sympathetic concerns from the ANSTA, NSF and the ENSF, has resolved to temporarily suspend the indefinite hunger strike and all other democratic acts of resentment with effect from July 1, 018 until further notice.
However, the Adhoc teachers pointed out that a final agreement was yet to be finalized.
