The three point resolution was announced during a press conference held on July 5 at the NSF headquarters, Kohima. Earlier the four organisations had held joint meetings on June 30 in view of the hunger strike by the ANAGT, followed by consecutive meetings.

Christopher Ltu, NSF president revealed the three-point resolution which were adopted after due deliberation on the issue. The first resolution mentions, "Since both the Government and ANATG 2015 batch has expressed their inability to move Interlocutory Application (IA) before the court, ANSTA shall file it in the court on behalf of the 1166 Adhoc teachers’ i.e ANATG- 2015 batch."

Secondly, the NSF, ENSF, ANSTA and ANATG-2015 batch resolved to jointly pursue the Interlocutory Application matter in the court. The four organisations also resolved that the Interlocutory Application shall be pursued / moved through the Fast Track Pace.

"It is our sincere appeal to the Court that the case is pursued on a Fast Tract pace basis. We believe that the Court will also have the concern for the teachers’ community in general and the students’ community in particular by addressing this case at the earliest," said Ltu.

Sepili L Sangtam, ENSF president also mentioned that the detailed and thorough deliberations were held on the issue of the ANAGT-2015 batch in the interest of education. "We have examined all the available documents with us and finally we (the four organisations) have mutually agreed and resolved to pursue the ANATG-2015 batch demand before the government and before the court of law," said Sangtam.

He added that with the matter pending before the court of law, the organisations have decided to first focus on the legal aspect of the case. "Once the issue is taken out from the court of law, both federations and ANSTA have agreed to extend our support and cooperation to the matter before the government to expedite and fulfill the demand of the 1166 teachers at the earliest," added Sangtam.

Spokesperson for ANAGT-2015 batch, Bendang Ozukum also clarified that the issue took time to arrive to the 'negotiation table' where the group finalised the terms and conditions only on July 5, 2018. Following the adoption of the resolution, the adhoc teachers also announced that it has suspended its agitation.
