‘A diamond of dust’, a book by A Anato Swu is a personal testimony of the author, a former drug addict who is finally able to break the shackles of addiction through the amazing grace of God.

“My life validity expired but God gave me a second chance”, said the 38-year-old author at the launching ceremony of the book on Monday afternoon. Rev. S Vitoshe Swu, senior pastor of Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church, launched and dedicated the book.

The book tells about the life journey of a medical student, who had to give up his dream of becoming a doctor due to drug addiction, the downward spiraling, despair, suicidal thought and finally ultimate redemption.

“When an alcoholic or drug addict enters a home, love flies out through the window….my songs became only songs, dreams only dreams and ambition only ambition”,  said the author in his introductory note.

After much soul searching and through God’s grace and prayers of family and well wishers, Anato said he was finally able to kick the addiction in 2013 and then came his first book “The great satanic pitfall.”

“No matter what the world calls you, you need to remember you are a diamond in the dust. You have to emerge from the dark crevices and let the Light shine upon you”, he said.

James E Scott, community pastor, New Life City Church, who wrote the Forward of the book said “this book throws down a challenge not just to those in addiction or helping someone with addiction; it also challenges the heart of the Christian field”

Bohoto Zhimomi, a representative of Maurice Wylie Ministries (MWM), Northern Ireland, the publisher and sponsor of the book, conveyed greetings of the MWM founders.

Earlier, Aghali Swu, delivered the welcome address.
