ANCA observes Counsellors Day

Kohima, November 27 (MExN): All Nagaland Counsellors Association (ANCA) observed Counsellors Day at Kripa Foundation, Kohima under the theme ‘Mental well beings of adolescence.’  

Rev. Fr. C. Joseph, ANCA president in his keynote address asked everyone to look to our past to find clues for healthy living today. He said that the history of human evolution shows a definitive link between physical health and psychological well-being. Counselling students of St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama presented the song “We Are the World”, while Ravolu prayed for a heart and love to the wounded and the hurt, said a press release.  

Dr. Viketoulie Pienyü, Sr. MO, State Mental Health Institute, Kohima spoke on substance abuse and how it results in physical, psychological, emotional harm to the user or others.  

The day had Rev. Fr. Boniface, SJ and a couple from Germany for panel discussion on substance abuse. Dr. Zavise Rume, Associate Professor, Guidance & Counselling Cell, SCERT-Nagaland expressed his deep desire to have a will power to change and help others to be better persons.
