ANCSF expresses concern over ‘slow’ NCDC scheme implementation

Dimapur, July 16 (MExN): The All Nagaland Co-operative Societies’ Federation (ANCSF) has submitted a representation to Dr Shurhozelie Liezietsu, Nagaland Minister in charge of Co-operation, expressing its serious concern over the slow and undue delays in the implementation of the NCDC scheme by the Nagaland state cooperation department.

A press release received here from the ANCSF, stated that the Federation in their representation submitted on July 11, while appreciating the present DAN Government for lifting of ban on the implementation of NCDC schemes in the state after a gap of five years, anyhow, expressed expressed strong dissatisfaction over the implementation of the national scheme and termed it as “slow” and having many “undue delays” in the implementation of the NCDC scheme.

In this regard, the ANCSF, in their representation, urged upon Dr Shurhozelie, and the state department of Co-operation to release the payments to those cooperative societies which have been already accorded sanctions by the NCDC “so far out of 105 cases already cleared by the state finance department as well as by the State Level Coordination Committee (SLCC) of NCDC without further delay”.

The ANCSF also demanded sincere efforts by the cooperation department to vigorously pursue with the NCDC to obtain necessary sanctions for the remaining societies from the first phase of 105 cases already recommended and cleared by the stated government.

The ANCSF also demanded that the 173cases in the second phase of various schemed under NCDC, cleared by the SLCC and lying with the State Finance Department for Finance concurrence be disposed of or cleared and send those to the NCDC authorities for obtaining at an early date.

The ANCSF also highlighted Dr Shurhozelie that Nagaland state falls under the category of “cooperatively least developed” and in this regard, requested the minister and the government to properly and effectively implement the NCDC sponsored schemes so as to build a strong rural economy through active participation of cooperative societies.
