DIMAPUR, MARCH 23 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students Union (ANCSU) today asked the state government to provide special transportation/special lodging to those students coming back home from outside the state as they may be stranded in the railway stations/airports due to unavailability of public transport. This was stated in a letter to the Nagaland Chief Secretary.

In another letter to the Director Higher Education, the union apprised that in many of the colleges, the subject lecturers are yet to complete their syllabus. It asked the department to notify all colleges to instruct the respective college subject lecturers who are yet to complete their syllabus to provide e-book study materials, pdf, Wikipedia, book references to the students through social networking sites at the earliest.

It meanwhile asked the student community not to panic but follow all precautionary measures to combat the disease.

“The college's students rather than panicking should be the ambassadors in educating those who are illiterate and are in need to be sensitized about the pandemic. The union appeals the students' fraternity to give utmost cooperation and support to the state government during this period of time,” it urged.
