Kohima, October 24 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students' Union today affirmed its firm belief that educational institution should be a place of learning and no one should try to pollute the ambient atmosphere of an educational institution.
Accordingly, the Union reiterated its stance that no individual or group has the right to threaten or dictate the college students’ and authorities (affiliated to ANCSU) for its self-interest and propagandize their narrow manifesto(s).
If any untoward situation arises due to unnecessary harassment to the college students, putting their academic careers at stake and jeopardising the learning atmosphere of the colleges, then the ANCSU is ready to take any necessary steps to protect the sanctity of our educational institutions, it stated.
A press release from ANCSU President, Toito D Chishi and General Secretary, Tenyesinlo Bukh further assured the fellow student friends that the Union will continue to represent the aspiration and voices of the students in all circumstances.
It further informed the students to pay no heed towards unauthorised directives from any individual or group.
Meanwhile, the ANCSU office expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries, college authorities, students, ANCSU seniors, programme participants, media fraternity and well-wishers for their participation during the ANCSU Collegiate Meet, hosted at Sakus Mission College from October 17-21 and making it a grand success.
