ANCSU commemorates 41st Foundation Day

Dimapur, August 2 (MExN):  The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) commemorated its 41st Foundation Day on August 2.

It has been a yearly program where students from all colleges come together to celebrate the Foundation Day, but with the prevailing pandemic and the lockdown in the state, ANCSU celebrated its foundation day through virtual connect, ANCSU media cell informed.

The virtual programme started with ANCSU President Vimeyiekho Vitso addressing the fraternity of the colleges and well wishers. In his video message, Vitso paid tribute and respect to the pioneers and former leaders of the Union.

Recollecting the establishment of the union in the year 1979, ANCSU President said that the day is a historic day for college students. He thanked the units of ANCSU, college authorities, faculties and all well wishers on and further sought their support in the future endeavors of the union.

With the completion of 41 years, the ANCSU President expressed confidence that it would fortify their commitment towards the cause and welfare of the students’ community. In his concluding message, Vitso called for collective effort in making Nagaland an educational hub.

An Electronic Bulletin was also released on the occasion.

It may be mentioned that since 2018, the ANCSU started to facilitate the University degree toppers on its Foundation Day. However, due to the pending final year exams, the same could not be facilitated this year.
