ANCSU directs colleges to abstain from protests

Warns of action if scholarship not disbursed on time

Kohima, November 6 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has informed that, as per information received from the Department of Higher Education, Government of Nagaland, the disbursement of the Post Matric Scholarship (ST), second phase for the year 2024–2025, will commence on or before November 12, 2025.

In this regard, ANCSU has directed all affiliated colleges to abstain from any protest or agitation and to uphold the Union Assembly Resolution of 2017 “with sincerity and seriousness.”

The Union, however, stated that it “reaffirms to call for any democratic protest of the day if the department concerned fails to disburse the scholarship within the stipulated time.”

It further cautioned that all departments and authorities concerned responsible for scholarship procedures and drawal authority “neglecting this matter because of pen-down strike shall be held accountable after due date.”
