Kohima, July 28 (MExN): Established in the year 1979, the All Nagaland College Students' Union (ANCSU) is commemorating its 40th Foundation Day cum Degree toppers felicitation on August 2, 11:00 am at AMK Conference Hall, Kohima with Dr Abemo Odyuo Registrar, Nagaland University as the Guest Speaker.
A press release issued by the General Secretary ANCSU mentioned that the Union, “as an intellectual platform for the college students began to felicitate the degree toppers under Nagaland University, State Council of Technical Education and Autonomous colleges within the state from the year 2018.”
It also stated that the unique and humble logic behind the introduction of felicitating the degree toppers is to “encourage and elevate the competition towards higher education.”
“Modern education and modern academic competition no longer belongs to mediocres but only to those who commit to perform by their hard work. In such an academic excellence society, felicitating the degree toppers is thought to invigorate the students for higher achievements,” it added.
The ANCSU has invited all its seniors leaders, degree toppers and parents, well wishers and representatives from all colleges to attend the programme.
