DIMAPUR, MARCH 14 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) on Wednesday issued a deadline to reinstate all illegally occupied land belonging to Kohima Science College (KSC), Jotsoma.
A representation addressed to the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima by ANCSU president Katho P Awomi and general secretary Vimeyiekho Vitso said all illegally occupied land since 1970 till date including the P.H.E Water reservoir, RCEMPA Building, Doordashan Kendra Kohima among others be reinstated and all other illegal infrastructure should be demolished and evicted within forty (40) days.
The union expressed concern that out of the total 200 acres of land which belongs to KSC (150 acres compensated and 50 acres donated by Jotsoma village) has been encroached by multiple parties and currently only around 130 acres is with the college.
The ANCSU asserted that it has firmly resolved not to allow any kind of encroachments or other settlements that may compromise even an inch of land that belongs to educational institution.
