ANCSU serves ultimatum on attachment of teachers by VIPs

DIMAPUR, JUNE 11 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has served a 15-day ultimatum to legislators of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) to immediately let go of teachers, if any, attached with them.   In an ultimatum served to the legislators of the 13th NLA, ANCSU on Monday stated that it was against the practice of attachment of teachers with VIPs (read MLAs) in any manner and had requested the concerned department on this issue.   However, despite several appeals and representation served, some legislators are still practicing the habit of attaching teachers with them. The teachers are supposed to be teaching in their posted educational institutions for the uplift and progress of students in particular and the institution at large, the ANCSU maintained.

In this connection, the ANCSU has urged all concerned legislators to take this matter seriously and not to attach any teachers under any condition or understanding. It also cautioned that the ANCSU will not compromise under any condition on this issue which was directly affecting the future of the students.
