ANCSU supports NSF on state job policy

Dimapur, November 5 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) today strongly supported the demand made by the NSF to the state government for lifting the ban on job creation in the state government departments.

The ANCSU, in a press release, expressing concern over the rapid growth of educated unemployed problem in Nagaland, supported ‘the stand made by the NSF on Government Job Policy in related with enhancement of upper age limit’.

“Here the ANCSU is of the opinion that every year more than thousand of students are graduated where only few of them go for further studies and the remaining are left unemployed,” the ANCSU stated. Therefore, the ANCSU, seeing the present educated unemployment scenario, urged the state government to seriously re-examine and review the job policy whereby any policy that is formulated by the government equally serve the interest of the people and benefit the society.

The ANCSU also viewed that the Nagaland University and the state government should introduce job oriented courses in the degree level. In this regard, the ANCSU opined that only when job oriented courses are introduced, then the dependence of the educated youths on government job for sustenance will decrease, besides encouraging the youth to take up entrepreneurial activities for self employment, thereby ‘reducing the dependency on others for day to day requirement and essentialities’.
