DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 3 (MExN): Unsatisfied with the response given by the Director of the Department of Technical Education on the issue of the mismanagement of scholarship fund as revealed in the recent CAG report, the All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has written to the Minister for Higher & Technical Education.
Seeking immediate intervention, the ANCSU press statement said it was not satisfied with the report furnished by the Director that the department has recovered the misused amount as claimed in the report but without providing any details and particulars of the officials involved in the misappropriation of the scholarship fund.
Alleging that the Director is covering the identity of those erring officials, the ANCSU has demanded justice and stern action initiated against the Director himself besides those involved in the misuse of the scholarship funds.
For this, the ANCSU has recommended the State Vigilance Commission (SVC) for proper investigation and termination of those officials involved while observing that they are a threat to the students’ community.
