ANGCTA, ANCSU appeal for stable internet service

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 3 (MExN): The All Nagaland Government College Teachers Association (ANGCTA) and the All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) have asked the competent authorities and service providers to ensure undisrupted internet connectivity and services during the Nagaland University under graduate online examination.
The examination is scheduled to be held from September 21 to October 20.

A joint statement from Lily Angami, President, ANGCTA and Vimeyiekho Vitso, President, ANCSU said that both the teachers and students are apprehensive in the first instance to have online exams due to “many herculean challenges in state.”

“However, with no sign of respite from the pandemic and the Supreme Court judgment that final examination has to be conducted, online is the only alternative and safest mode for the interest of the students as well as the institutions,” they stated.

The organizations stressed that the success of online examination is solely dependent on the regular power supply and internet connectivity. They urged the concerned authorities to ensure that stable internet and power supply is provided at least for the period of the examinations.
