Kohima, April 19 (MExN): In line with the call from the All India Federation of University and College Teachers' Organizations (AIFUCTO) to hold a country-wide ‘Demand Day’ on April 19 calling upon the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) to publish the 7th Pay Review Committee's report, the Demand Day was observed at Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung and at Kohima College, by members of the All Nagaland Government College Teachers' Association (ANGCTA).
It may be noted that the UGC-appointed Pay Review Committee had submitted its report to the UGC which in turn had submitted it to the MHRD on February 22. Since the report of the committee has not been revealed till date, AIFUCTO has called for this protest.
