ANHTU Peren unit questions DEO over delay in salary

Peren, August 22 (MExN): The All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU) Peren unit has questioned the District Education Officer (DEO) of Peren for the delay in releasing the salary of Hindi teachers.

“Despite humble requests, the DEO did not release the salary of Hindi teachers till date, so the union wants (to know) the reason of delaying from the concerned DEO,” demanded a press release issued by ANHTU Peren unit president, Rangwam Zeliang.

The unit stated that Hindi teachers under DEO Peren are yet to receive their pending salary though the sanction for March-April salary was made on June 16. Hence, it appealed to the Directorate of School Education (DoSE) to look into the matter.

“The other teachers of the same district under SDEO have received their salary whereas the salary of Hindi teachers under DEO is yet to be released,” it reiterated.

The release noted that ANHTU Peren unit had approached the concerned DEO/SDEO to discuss the matter of delayed salary. It also submitted appeal letter to both establishments stating the salary should be released on time as sanctioned, it stated. The union had further requested the authority concerned to take the matter seriously, the release added.

Despite the requests, the DEO has not released the salary of Hindi teachers till date, it lamented. wThe union in the press release further reminded the SDEO/DEO to release the salary of Hindi teachers timely in future.
